Partnering with Women's Organizations & Nonprofits -- To get the message in After the Ball out to women, Rose Path Press is partnering with organizations dedicated to such issues as the prevention of domestic abuse, helping women build sustainable self-reliance and empowering women struggling with violence, divorce and mental health challenges. These organizations will accept donated copies of After the Ball for distribution to women. They will give you a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution of books. The retail price of the book is $16.95, however, we have created several packages with price discounts for bulk purchases so you can give books to your friends or donate them to nonprofits such as Cornerstone, Tubman and Wayside House and other nonprofits.
Organizations are encouraged to use the book as a special gift or premium and also for fundraising purposes.

www.wadvocates.org -- Women's Advocates is a safe place where battered women and their children can escape domestic violence. In addition to providing shelter, Women’s Advocates provides advocacy, personalized support (including mental health therapy and aftercare services), education, and resources for nearly 1,000 women and children every year. The first shelter in the nation for battered women and their children, Women’s Advocates opened its doors in 1974. Women's Advocates welcomes women and children of all backgrounds and cultures.

WAYSIDE HOUSE
(Wayside House empowers women to recover sobriety, identity, family, home and community by providing treatment, housing and supportive services.)
Established in 1954, Wayside House is one of the nation’s oldest treatment centers devoted exclusively to the needs of women. Wayside House is a Minnesota non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with over 55 years of experience in helping women recover from addiction & mental illness, particularly women living in poverty. A full spectrum of services (including treatment, supportive housing, recovery supports and family reunification services) provides intensive long-term support for women’s recovery, mental health, and positive functioning.
PERSPECTIVES FAMILY CENTER
(Breaking the cycle for at-risk families)
This program is the largest Supportive Housing Program for families in Minnesota, providing a comprehensive supportive housing program for women and children. The services consist of a two-year transitional housing program for recovering homeless women and their children, as well as permanent housing for our graduates who desire to continue to live in a sober and supportive environment. Housing is provided in five apartment buildings offering 52 units. The program provides critical on-to-one case management in order to assist the families in their transition back to socio-economic mainstream.

Domestic Violence Statistics
The
National Network to End Domestic Violence (NNEDV) recently conducted a
nationwide one-day survey of domestic violence shelters to gauge the
scope of the problem.
In One Day:
- Over 30,000 victims were sheltered by local domestic violence programs
- Another 30,000 received non-residential support services
- Over 21,000 hotline calls were answered. This averages to more than 14 calls per minute
- Nearly 9,000 requests for services were unmet due to a lack of resources
